Music Theory isn’t something that’s universally agreed upon. Often times, there’s more than one way to describe and conceptualize an idea in music. All that’s important is that the way you think about a musical idea, is that it’s useful for you. That it makes it easier for you to understand, write, and perform music. I encourage you to keep learning music with this in mind so you don’t go mad trying to find what the “right” answer is.
